3/18/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: Ashiyah was calm and attentive during the second half of the session. Ashiyah shared that today was a rough day because she kept getting into trouble and arguing with her mother about her being distant and not showing any interest in the family gatherings. Ashiyah shared that she tries to stay calm but itâs hard because she gets really frustrated with everyone easily. Ashiyah expressed that sometimes she feels her mother is picking with her over small things and she is starting to get frustrated which she shuts down for about 20 minutes. Behavior: Ashiyah became irritated as evidenced by her rolling her eyes and sucking her teeth. Ashiyah continued to express nonchalant feelings at this time. Ashiyah was quiet and struggled with communicating with counselor and family. Ashiyah was in a calm manner and participated right away when asked to reflect with her counselor. Ashiyah shared her feelings with her counselor and shared the ways that she responds to people at certain times. Ashiyah is aware she can be a little more patient at home. Ashiyah was challenged to implement a this behavior at least 3-4 minutes on a daily basis. Intervention: QMHPA engaged Ashiyah in a conversation regarding her recent behaviors, progressions and setbacks. QMHPA explored Ashiyahâs responses and responded accordingly. QMHPA talked with Ashiyah about the importance of adhering to rules and expectations in school, at home and in the community. QMHPA held consultations with Ashiyah and mother about effective intervention strategies that build on the Ashiyah's strengths and compensate for her negative behaviors. QMHPA reminded Ashiyah that she can be anything she puts her mind too. Intervention: QMHPA helped Ashiyah develop healthy self-esteem by reducing level of anxiety and emotional reactions related to other independent functioning which have been noticed to be affecting Ashiyah at home and in the community. QMHPA praised Ashiyah for being on task and following directions during the session. QMHPA supported Ashiyah making good decisions and having positive behaviors. QMHPA assisted Ashiyah with recognizing her own personal strengths and how to apply them to reach her goals and objectives. QMHPA praised Ashiyah for her efforts and being respectful to herself and everyone around her. Response: Ashiyah smiled as she saw QMHPA's positive gestures. Ashiyah was able to process making good choices with QMHPA and her mom. Ashiyah listed 3-4 behaviors that she was going to utilize in efforts to remain positive. Ashiyah appeared to be receptive to receiving positive reinforcement from mom and counselor as demonstrated by her smiling and open body language. The frequency and intensity of the Ashiyah's defiant affect decreased. Ashiyah continued to work on the psycho social activity to learn more about her own disorder. Response: Ashiyah engaged in self-reflection, discussing good and bad parts of her day. Ashiyah engaged in reflective thinking regarding her treatment. Ashiyah communicated the do's and don'ts. Ashiyah was in a pleasant mood after feedback was given. Ashiyah was seen having a good evening. Ashiyah was able to identify the role she plays in each situation and continues to comply with authority rules and regulations. Ashiyah also applied herself by utilizing her strengths to focus on her goals and discussed some things she can do better when it comes to new challenges at home.
